Showing the real impact of our solutions is something we always look forward to.

During the recent visits from Lapp France, we demonstrated how just one operator can efficiently manage both the inline spooling process and quality monitoring—delivering better results with less effort.

We had the pleasure of welcoming our Lapp France customers to Windak OÜ in Estonia, where Eric Lebert, Yannick Ries, Loïc Freyermuth, Gregory Merck, and Julien Koecher saw their high-speed AR24 spooling machine in action.

This fully automatic spooler operates inline with an extrusion line, packaging solar cables on spools. By eliminating the need for a separate cable winding process, it reduces costs and improves ROI while optimizing overall efficiency.

Auto Reeler AR24-D: a Dual Head Fully Automatic Reeler designed for the precise packaging of cable and wire products on spools and reels. This pivotal game-changer in spool winding technology is the most versatile reeler on the market. Its innovative design allows RECONFIGURATION FOR TWO SIZE RANGES – 200 – 450 mm (8” – 18”) and 300 – 600 mm (12” – 24”) – and a possible CHANGE OF SETUP BETWEEN LEFT TO RIGHT OR RIGHT TO LEFT OPERATION, catering to diverse industry needs.

With one operator managing both the extrusion line and spooler, errors are minimized, and productivity is maximized.

The cable is inspected for defects before packaging, and any detected faults are automatically ejected, ensuring a very high level of quality.

Afterward, the spools can undergo random testing at the Spool Lab SL800 testing station, which elevates spools to an optimal working height for efficient handling. Once approved, they’re labeled and palletized for delivery.

It was a great opportunity to share our technology and expertise, and we’re excited for the next steps in this collaboration!

Great professional and relational experience. Thank you, Windak, for welcoming us”

– Gregory Merck, Process Engineer at Lapp France
