Request the product catalogueWindak’s Change-Over stations are used for OFFLINE operation, optimizing downtime during the transition of the cable from one Take-Up to another.
The OFFLINE operation doesn’t require cable accumulation during cutting, allowing for a simpler line layout. The changeover station is equipped with a belt capstan, a length counter, cable clamps, and a cable cutter. It operates fully automatically, cutting the cable to the desired length.
The correct wire lengths are always fed to the Take-Ups with no slip-back. An operator can quickly and easily load a cable reel to start the string-up process.
In this way, the rewinding of the master reel is eliminated.
