Our team showcased the AR24 spool packaging line, which operates offline with a Payoff to package cables onto spools. This advanced line features our Intelligent Scrap Handling (ISH) System and seamless ERP integration.
In an industry where efficiency and minimizing scrap are crucial, our AR Series Spoolers provide cable manufacturers with effective tools to meet these demands.
Auto Reeler AR24-D
Is a Dual Head Fully Automatic Reeler designed for the precise packaging of cable and wire products on spools and reels. This pivotal game-changer in spool winding technology is the most versatile reeler on the market. Its innovative design allows RECONFIGURATION FOR TWO SIZE RANGES – 200 – 450 mm (8” – 18”) and 300 – 600 mm (12” – 24”) – and a possible CHANGE OF SETUP BETWEEN LEFT TO RIGHT OR RIGHT TO LEFT OPERATION, catering to diverse industry needs.
The ISH System detects failures through active quality monitoring—such as Spark Tester and Lump & Neckdown—and responds accordingly. The system offers two modes: it can either stop for operator inspection or continue automatically:
- Inspection Mode: Stops the machine for operator inspection at a defined point. If no defect is found, the process continues with an added layer of quality assurance, using a secondary spark tester in case the fault is not visible to the eye.
- Automatic Mode: Cuts and separates the affected cable, minimizing scrap and maintaining flow. If a fault is detected, the machine completes the current spool with good cable and places it on a dedicated pallet, while the fault is wound onto the next spool with minimal length and then discharged from the machine.
This intelligent approach ensures that only small lengths of cable are scrapped, significantly reducing waste and enhancing operational efficiency.
